Effective October 12, 2026

Who we are

The Zion Gathering is run by Zion Streaming LLC, a Utah company, 26 S Rio Grande St, #2072, Salt Lake City, UT 84101. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean The Zion Gathering. We organize in-person gatherings and a weekly devotional, brought to you by Zion Media. Questions about this policy or about your information go to april@zionstreaming.com.

What we collect, and why

We only ask for what the gathering needs. Nothing on this site is collected for advertising.

When you register for a gathering

  • Your name, email and mobile phone — so we can confirm your place and reach you about the gathering.
  • Gender and age range — used for one thing: arranging rooms in a shared house so everyone sleeps well. Some gatherings have a specific audience, and this also confirms eligibility.
  • Diet and allergies — passed to whoever is cooking.
  • Practical needs — optional, in your own words: stairs, a ground-floor room, an outlet by your bed. We do not ask for medical information, and please do not put any in. Medical details people wrote in earlier registrations are deleted after the October 2026 gathering.
  • Emergency contact — name and phone of someone not travelling with you, used only if we need to reach them.
  • Sleeping needs — ground floor, no top bunk, snoring, CPAP — for rooming.
  • Home town, how you are travelling, arrival and departure plans — for check-in timing and, if you ask for it, carpools.
  • Who you are bringing — the same details for each person in your party, given with their permission.
  • Anyone you would like to room with, your answers to the gathering’s own questions, and the option you chose.
  • Mailing address — optional, only if we ship you something.
  • Whether Zion Media may use photos and video of you — an optional box, unticked to begin with.
  • Whether you want texts — an optional box, unticked to begin with.

When you pay

Payments are taken by Stripe. Some earlier payments were taken by Kajabi, and we keep that history. We receive confirmation of payment, the amount, and the name and email used. If you save a card, Stripe stores it, and you manage it under Manage payment methods on your account page. We never see your full card number.

When you register for a Wednesday devotional

Your name, email, how many are coming with you, anything you want us to know, and whether you want a reminder. Phone is optional. On the night we mark who came, so the next room is booked at the right size.

If you create a member account

Your email, a password (stored only as a one-way hash by our login provider), and the name and phone you give. Signing in remembers your details for next time.

If you sign in with Oraqel Code

When you choose Continue with Oraqel Code, or Connect Oraqel Code on your account page, Oraqel Code tells us your name and email, so we can make or find your account, and your Oraqel membership and tier. If you choose to share them on Oraqel’s screen, it also tells us your Spiritual and Temporal codes. We keep these on our own system, where only the people running The Gathering can reach them. We never send anything back to Oraqel.

If you have also signed in with an email code, you can choose Disconnect on your account page at any time. The membership, tier and codes Oraqel shared are deleted, and your name and email stay on your account, because your registrations use them. If Oraqel Code is the only way you have signed in, Disconnect is not on the page yet: reply to any email from us, or use Common Questions, and we will remove it for you. You can always sign in with an email code to the same address instead.

If you use the questions assistant

When it is offered on the site, the text of the question you type (and your name and email if you add them) is sent to Anthropic’s Claude to draft an answer, and kept so a real person can follow up when the assistant cannot help.

Messages we send you

Emails about your registration and your gathering go through Resend. Text messages go through Twilio only if you ticked the box asking for them (it is never ticked for you); reply STOP to any text to end them, or HELP for help. Consent to texts is not required to register. We keep a record of what was sent and whether it was delivered.

Your visit to this website

We do not use analytics, advertising pixels or tracking cookies. Our host, Vercel, keeps ordinary server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for a short time for security and to keep the site running. Fonts and scripts are served from our own site, so viewing a page sends nothing to Google. The exceptions are that forms load Cloudflare Turnstile (see Services we use), and the devotional page fetches video preview pictures from YouTube’s image server. See the Cookie Policy for what is stored in your browser.

How we use it

To run the gathering you registered for: rooming, meals, check-in, the schedule, emergencies, and getting in touch about any of those. To book the right room for the devotional. To answer your questions. To remember your details if you ask us to. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who sees it

  • The small team running the gathering. Practical needs are seen by the team running the gathering, for rooming and care on the day. The kitchen gets diet and food-allergy information and nothing else.
  • Other attendees. If you post on the carpool board, others registered for that gathering see your first name, last initial, town and note. Your full name, phone and email are shown only to someone you agree to share a ride with. Room-mates and door signs show your name and room.
  • The house. The property we rent is told how many people are staying and their names for the rental agreement, when the host requires it.
  • Service providers who store or move the data for us and may not use it for their own purposes. They are listed under Services we use, below.
  • The law, if we are required to.

Services we use

  • Supabase — our database and sign-in, hosted in the United States.
  • Vercel — hosts this website.
  • Resend — sends our emails.
  • Twilio — sends text messages, only if you ticked the box.
  • Stripe — takes payments. Kajabi took some earlier payments.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile — forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks your browser for signs of automation. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
  • Oraqel Code — if you sign in with or connect Oraqel Code, we receive your name, email, membership tier and, if you chose to share them, your Spiritual and Temporal codes. Disconnecting from your account deletes the membership, tier and codes. More under If you sign in with Oraqel Code, above.
  • Anthropic — drafts answers for the questions assistant.
  • YouTube — videos you choose to play, in privacy-enhanced mode.

Photos and video

Gatherings may be photographed and recorded. When you register there is an optional box, unticked to begin with, that lets Zion Media use photos and video of you (and of the minors you register) from the gathering in its channels. If you leave it unticked we leave you out where we can, and minors are treated as no unless a parent ticks it. You can change your answer any time on your account page, or tell a member of the team at check-in.

How long we keep it

Registration records are kept so we can serve you as a returning guest and answer questions after a gathering, and so we have a record of what was paid. You can ask us to delete what we hold about you at any time; we will, unless we have to keep a record of a payment.

Your choices

  • See or correct what we have: register again with the same email and the details are updated, or email us.
  • Delete your information: email us from the address you registered with.
  • Texts: reply STOP to any text, or turn them off on your account page.
  • Emails about your gathering are part of attending; if you withdraw, they stop.

If you live in a place that gives you specific rights over your personal information (for example the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or California), you can exercise them by emailing us and we will respond within the time the law allows.

Children

Registrations are made by adults. A parent or guardian registers any minor in their party and is responsible for the details given for them.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Registration data lives in a database where access is limited to the team. No system is perfect; if something goes wrong with your information we will tell you.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and, for anything significant, email registered guests.
